Palette Editor Setup

Instructions

  1. Create a new project
    1. If for a base cast character/assist, simply use the template
    2. If for a custom character/assist, you must build a fraytools project with a palette file. This requires an unmapped image of the character with all relevant colours. Can use a previous built editor stage to extract sprites i.e. HUD image or any gameplay sprites Also ensure ID of the palette file matches the character/assist ID. Can view the IDs by using logs while on the editor stage.
  2. Open the project and add any additional costumes you want to use.
  3. Upload the completed project to this page using the area below
  4. Remove any costumes you don't want to export (if any). Also update the costume numbers that you wish to replace
  5. Export the project, save the resulting fra file to fraytools (details on how to do that)
  6. Play on the stage with all desired characters/assists. To quickly apply use regular matches, otherwise use training mode to apply and view costumes.
